Bell and Dorje
These mysterious and powerful
symbols of Tibetan Buddhism are held during meditation. The bell symbolizes the feminine principle, the wisdom of emptiness, while the dorje, symbolizes the masculine principle, that of compassion expressed through skillful means. The union of these two principles is enlightenment.
It is also said that the dorje is a lightning bolt, while the bell is thunder.
This set is made of a special bronze alloy, and the bell rings true and clear. The bell is approx. 6 inches tall, and the dorje approx 4 inches long.
