Tibetan Conch Trumpet

In tibet they use these conch shell trumpets as a call  to start a ritual. In history they were carried by heroes, and blown as a battle call, to harness the forces of nature to the hero's side. Each trumpet had it's own name and legend, like the sword Excaliber in Britan.

This decorated conch trumpet is etched with auspicious symbols and is heavy and substantial. It's about 6 1/4 inches end to end.
It was made in Nepal by Tibetan exiles.
