Mosasaur Tooth

The mosasaur was a giant air breathing dinosaur like lizard which lived in the seas near shore during the Cretaceous period 145 to 65 million years ago. Mosasaurs reached a length of 40 feet with 5 foot skulls. These bus sized creatures were fierce predators, with multiple rows of sharp teeth to grab and keep prey, which were often swallowed whole.

Here is one of those teeth, which has been replaced over the eons  by stone, becoming a fossil.

Found in Morocco, these vary and the one you get will be 1.2 to 1.5 inches long. In the preparation process, small cracks may have been mended and the fossil stabilized by resin.
